Transferring Your Park to a New Device

Did you get a fancy new phone or tablet? This article will walk you through how to transfer your DragonVale park to the new device. 

Please note: The instructions below are specific to DragonVale 3.9.0 and higher. If you are playing on an older version of DragonVale, please update your game through your app store. 

 

iOS Users

If you would like to move your park from one iOS device to another, or play on multiple iOS devices, you can do so using either Game Center or Facebook.

If you are moving your park from an iOS device to an Android or Kindle device, please follow the instructions for transferring your park using Facebook

 

To transfer your park using Game Center

  1. Install DragonVale on the new device
  2. Tap the Settings icon on your device
  3. Scroll down and tap Game Center
  4. Tap "Sign In"
  5. Enter your Apple ID and password to sign into your Game Center account
  6. Open DragonVale and any parks associated with your Game Center account will be shown in the Park Select menu

     

     

 

You can load your park on any iOS device by following the above steps.  

 

To transfer your park using Facebook:

If you've already connected your park to your Facebook account to add friends, you can now transfer your park to any device simply by signing into your Facebook account in the Social menu of DragonVale. 

If your park wasn't connected to Facebook previously, you can connect it by following the instructions below:

  1. Open DragonVale and tap the “Social” icon
  2. Tap the Facebook login button (If you are not seeing the Facebook login button, please see this article)
  3. Enter the email address and password associated with your Facebook account
  4. Tap the “Yes” button to confirm that you want to connect your park to Facebook. Please note: Once you have associated your park with a Facebook account you will not be able to connect that park to a different Facebook account.
  5. Your DragonVale park will now be associated with your Facebook account

 

     

 

You can now load your park on any device by signing into Facebook in the Social menu of DragonVale.

 

To transfer a local park:

If you are playing locally, meaning your park isn't being saved with Game Center or Facebook, please send us an email at support@backflipstudios.com, or submit a support request using the link at the top of this page. Please include the park ID of the park you need transferred, as well as the new park ID that appears when you install DragonVale on the new device. Instructions for locating your park ID can be found here.

 

Android/Kindle Users

If you would like to move your park from an Android/Kindle device to another device, or play on multiple devices, you can do so using your Facebook account. If your park is already associated with your Facebook account you simply need to sign into Facebook in the Social menu of DragonVale. Just like magic, your park will automatically appear!

If you have a local park and have not yet associated it with a Facebook account, you can do so using the instructions below:

  1. Open DragonVale and tap the “Social” icon
  2. Tap the Facebook login button (If you are not seeing the Facebook login button, please see this article)
  3. Enter the email address and password associated with your Facebook account
  4. Tap the “Yes” button to confirm that you want to connect your park to Facebook. Please note: Once you have associated your park with a Facebook account you will not be able to connect that park to a different Facebook account. 
  5. Your DragonVale park will now be associated with your Facebook account

  

     

 

You can now play your current park on any Android or Kindle device by signing into your Facebook account in the Options menu of DragonVale. Magical! 

 

To transfer a local park:

If you are playing locally, meaning your park isn't being saved with Facebook, please send us an email at support@backflipstudios.com, or submit a support request using the link at the top of this page. Please include the park ID of the park you need transferred, as well as the new park ID that appears when you install DragonVale on the new device. 

 

How to Find Your Park ID

If your park isn't being saved with Game Center or Facebook, you will need to locate your park ID. You can find the local park ID by opening DragonVale, tapping the "Options" icon, then tapping the green "Park ID" button. 

     

     

 

It's a long number, so please be sure to double check all the numbers/letters and include the hyphens. When you send your email, please include the park ID for the park you need moved, as well as the new park ID that appears when you install DragonVale on the new device.
